FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
OduwaCoin Releases ETINOSA v2.0.0.3, a Modernized Wallet for Windows, Mac, and Linux
The Pan-African Layer 1 blockchain’s latest release includes a signed and Apple-notarized Mac app, native Apple Silicon support, updated security libraries, and a verified blockchain snapshot
Los Angeles, CA — November 1, 2026 — ODUWA BLOCKCHAIN SOLUTIONS LLC today announced the release of OduwaCoin Core ETINOSA v2.0.0.3, a major modernization of the OduwaCoin wallet and node software. The release updates core security and interface libraries, adds a native app for Apple Silicon Macs, and introduces a verified blockchain snapshot that is rebuilt automatically twice a week.
ETINOSA is available as a free download for Windows, macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel), and Linux at github.com/ODUWAX/oduwacoin/releases/tag/v2.0.0.3.
Built for trust from the first launch
- Signed and notarized for macOS. The Mac app is signed by ODUWA BLOCKCHAIN SOLUTIONS LLC and notarized by Apple. Notarization helps macOS assess software distributed outside the App Store. Learn about Apple notarization.
- Updated security library. ETINOSA moves to OpenSSL 3.5, replacing OpenSSL 1.1.1, which reached end of life in September 2023. OpenSSL 1.1.1 end-of-life notice.
- Verifiable downloads. Each release includes a published SHA-256 checksum. Builds run through public GitHub pipelines.
Native apps for major desktop platforms
- Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and later): A dedicated native build for macOS 11 and newer.
- Intel Macs: A separate build for macOS 10.15 and newer.
- Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit): The wallet app, full node, command-line client, and transaction tools in one download.
- Linux: A desktop wallet and server package. Node software is built and tested on Ubuntu and Fedora.
Get started with a blockchain snapshot
New users can start from a verified blockchain snapshot instead of downloading the entire chain from scratch. The snapshot is rebuilt automatically twice a week. Each is created from a cleanly stopped node, restored on a separate offline node, and checked before publication.
The latest snapshot is available at one permanent link: OduwaCoin-DB.zip.
Compatible with the existing network
ETINOSA makes no changes to consensus or the network protocol. Existing wallets, balances, and staking continue unchanged. Version 2.0.0.3 nodes can operate alongside version 2.0.0.2 nodes, and existing wallet files carry over without conversion.
Under the hood
- Qt 5.15.14 interface framework, Boost 1.90, and Berkeley DB 6.2
- A fix for a block-template validation crash
- Clearer network reporting, with inbound and outbound connections counted separately
- 54 core test suites passing on every change, with failing tests blocking a build
What’s next
ETINOSA lays the foundation for the next OduwaCoin wallet release, which is planned to include:
- Staking rewards on screen: Earnings for the past 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 1 year, and all time, displayed in the wallet.
- African languages: Swahili, Hausa, Yoruba, and Amharic, joining the existing French and Portuguese translations. Each translation will be reviewed by native speakers before release.
- One-click fast start: Download and verify the blockchain snapshot from inside the app.
- Simpler setup and backup, a refreshed look, and a notice when a new version is available.
A message from OduwaCoin leadership
“ETINOSA is an important step toward making OduwaCoin easier to access and use. By God’s grace, we are building a wallet that puts security, transparency, and a better experience within reach of users across Africa and the diaspora. We will keep improving the technology and serving the community, one release at a time.”
