A certain man, Patrice shares his lawfully wedded wife, Kabira Zubeda with his best friend due to his insistence on having kids amid his inability to impregnate his wife.
Following a successful wedding ceremony, Patrice and his wife were expecting to birth kids, which is normal for every marriage.
Upon trying for two years, there were no signs of pregnancy. This became a big challenge to the marriage as both parties were concerned.
Kabira proceeded to advise Patrice to get a new wife after concerns around their community grew over the inability of the couple to conceive. They were trolled and mocked by many as the couple searched intensely for solutions and other alternatives.
Shortly after, the couple started fighting and blaming each other for their inability to conceive. This led Patrice’s wife to source for an unconventional option of impregnating another woman.

This hospital visit was the turning point of their lives as Patrice was diagnosed with infertility, a condition that prevented him from impregnating his wife.

Distraught, the couple went back home to brainstorm a solution that worked for both parties as Kabira insisted on sticking with her husband.
To end the trolling and mockery of people around them, the couple came up with the idea of getting Patrice‘s best friend into the picture.
In shock by the proposition of Patrice, his best friend disagreed on having sex with his wife to conceive but after several persuasion, he agreed and they all kept it a secret.
He also ensured Kabira agreed after persistent persuasion because she wanted peace to reign in her home and she made a decision to stay with her husband, despite the pressure from extended family members.
This is coming after she fails to convince Patrice to give up his pursuit of children and focus on being a good husband to her.
While she disagreed with her husband’s unconventional idea, the couple began to experience numerous misunderstandings and they had countless fights over the matter.
The arrangement with Patrice’s best friend produced three children and they agreed to stay with him. Although, his best friend considers the children to be Patrice’s.
According to Patrice,
“It was hard letting another man sleep with my wife but I did what was necessary. I believe it was even luck that made my friend agree. What if my friend refused or he decided to make my wife, his second wife?
I’m grateful and our bond remains unshaken. Everyone believes the children are mine.
To me, it’s an honour and I feel like a complete man, thanks to my friend.”
Since the arrangement started, they have lived as a family and protected the secrets from their families.
However, it may be surprising and unacceptable to other people but as long as Patrice, his best friend and wife are happy, society’s opinion means nothing to them.
Kabira also ensures love doesn’t come into the mix between her and Patrice’s best friend as it would be against the rules of their arrangement and create problems that would end up destroying her family.
The friendship between Patrice and his bestie has become a relationship people in their community envy, despite their ignorance about the arrangement.
Both Patrice and his best friend are married and have shared loyalty for decades. Patrice believes that as long as he feeds and raises the children, they are all his.
Speaking about the unconventional arrangement, Kabira said,
“I will never have feelings for his friend, no way. I’m even the one who told my husband that we should stop making babies and focus on raising them.
We have three and those are enough, if not many. I think my children will grow up and look up to their father without knowing what we did as long as my husband takes good care of them.
We remain a happy and complete family.”
Patrice, Kabira, and the best friend are all happy and consider themselves as family.
Would you make such a decision because you want to have kids at all costs?
